Studies of humoral and cell-mediated immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections in humans
Tuberculosis (TB) causes an estimated 2 million deaths every year. However, our knowledge of protective immunity is poor to design efficacious vaccines. The main objective of the project is to identify humoral and cell-mediated protective immune markers during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in human population in an endemic setting.
