In groupwork we often become more fixated on getting our own point across, instead of listening to other perspectives. This can create friction and different understanding of starting point and goal. The importance of dialogue is therefore key.
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to key principles of dialogue and have the opportunity to try out the Four Corners activity. Through reflection, discussion, and practical exercises, participants will explore how dialogue can foster mutual understanding, surface diverse perspectives, and strengthen communication and collaboration in interdisciplinary settings.
Through short, hands-on group activities and shared reflection, participants will:
- explore how dialogue can be used in interdisciplinary education
- test a simple method for dialogue
- discuss how these insights can inform and strengthen ongoing and future collaborations
