The problem of student-centred courses
Developing student-centred courses has been promoted as a desirable direction for higher education. But what do we mean by ‘student-centred’? Is there a common understanding? What are the implications of the use of this term? This seminar focuses on the different ways the term has been and is being used internationally in higher education and whether it is a helpful descriptor.

David Boud is an expert on student feedback and assessment in higher education, and he is one of the most highly cited researchers in this area worldwide. Prof. Boud is an emeritus professor from the University of Technology in Sydney, and the founding director and professor at the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning at Deakin University in Australia.
