    Why this course?

    In this course, you get the opportunity to delve into a university pedagogical practice, theme, or question about which you are particularly curious. Throughout the semester each participant, in collaboration with other course participants and a course leader from LINK, designs and works on the the pedagogical practice, theme, or question they have idenitifed.

    The goal of the work is to:

    • Further develop university pedagogical competence, a teaching repertoire and reflection through sharing experiences and joint exploration of relevant literature
    • Further develop competence in and reflection on pedagogical development work and how relevant research can be translated into your context and practice
    • Strengthen competence in collegial collaboration on teaching development

    Examples of development work can be to:

    • Try out new learning activities and / or assessment methods
    • Integrate practices to improve students' ability for academic writing in a course or program design
    • Strengthen the link between research and education and or to involve students in research
    • Demonstrate the relevance of university education for work
    • Include / strengthen education for sustainability
    • Reduce dropouts
    • Develop a universally designed learning environment
    • Create an inclusive learning environment
    • Strengthen the students' academic-social affiliation
    • Involve students as partners in teaching and teaching development
    • Involve learning assistants in the subject / program

    Organization

    • Throughout the course semester, you work on your own development project. The project can be a collaborative project with another colleague, by designing the work in dialogue with colleagues in a or department or program. The project can be linked to a challenge identified by your department / program
    • Based on the chosen theme / project, we divide into groups of approx. 10 participants (the size will depend on the number of participants)
    • The groups meet four times per semester, together with a course leader from LINK. Other resource persons may also be involved in the group's work. Between the meetings, the participants work on their development projects, drawing on selected literature, and preparing presentations and discussions for the meetings, as well as responding to questions or requests from the others in the group. In the last meeting, the participants present their development projects

    Course requirements

    The course requires the following:

    • After admission, you will be sent an online form where you will describe the topic / issue / project you will be working on throughout the course semester
    • 80% attendance, as well as active work and cooperation in and between the meetings
