Visiting researchers from NNIMIPA

Josué Moreno and Davis Ozolins from the Sibelius Academy are visiting fourMs this week through the collaboration in the Nordic Network for the Integration of Music Informatics, Performance and Aesthetics (NNIMIPA). They are editing and cataloguing the video material collected during the February 2010 NNIMIPA workshop in Oslo, where American pianist William Westney who participated in various motion capture and analysis experiments.

Josué Moreno. Composer and researcher. Born in Jaén, Spain in 1980. Master in Composition at Conservatorio Superior de Música Valencia where he followed the courses in Computer Music and Electroacustics at LEAlabs. He is enrolled in the Master's Degree Program in Music Technology at CM&T, Sibelius Academy Helsinki specialized in the field of Computer Assisted Composition and Interactive Music.

Davis Ozolins. Born in Latvia 1987, currently studying at the Sibelius Academy, Department of Music and Technology, Helsinki, Finland. Has worked as project manager for live sound company „UBS”, Latvia. Sound editor and engineer at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, University of Latvia (2005-2007), working with storage system organizing, interview editing and interview recording.
