Visiting researcher: David Loberg Code

Dr. David Loberg Code is a guest researcher from Western Michigan University, where he directs KLOrk, the Kalamazoo Laptop Orchestra.

His current project involves developing motion-controlled laptop-based musical instruments for use in live performance.

Other research interests include tuning systems and Norwegian folk music.  Dr. Code also works with Notam (Norsk Senter for Teknologi i Musikk og Kunst) on their Renstemming Project and is the creator of the Groven Piano, an acoustic piano network with adaptive tuning capabilities which premiered in Oslo in 2001.
