Ragnhild Brøvig-Hanssen er førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for musikkvitenskap og RITMO senter for tverrfaglig forskning på rytme, tid og bevegelse, ved Universitetet i Oslo. Hun har publisert artikler og bokkapitler på temaene musikkproduksjon, digitale medier, remiks og mashup kultur, rytme og groove, og sound, og er forfatter av boka Digital Signatures: The Impact of Digitization on Popular Music Sound (med Anne Danielsen, MIT Press, 2016). Hun leder for tiden et NFR-finansiert forskningsprosjekt på mashup musikk, internett-plattformer og opphavsrettsregulering (MASHED), samt et RITMO-prosjekt på musikalsk fragmentering (REMIXING TIME). Hun har tidligere tatt del i to forskningsprosjekter på rytme (TIME og RADR).
