Pågående prosjekter

Victor jobber for tiden med MICRO prosjektet (Human Bodily Micromotion in Music Perception and Interaction) som forsker på hvordan musikk påvirker det som kalles mikrobevegelser. Mikrobevegelser er de små fysiske endringene som er observert når mennesker står stille. Denne forskningen ønsker å ta i bruk mikrobevegelser for å kontrollere musikalske lyder i databaserte systemer.

Bakgrunn

Før Victor begynte å arbeide på Institutt for Musikkvitenskap i januar 2017 ferdigstilte han sin Ph.D. i forskning på håndbevegelses-analyse ved University of Sheffield, UK. Her var han også læringsassistent og fasilitator i Mechanical Engineering fag både på bachelor og master nivå. Flere av hans forskningsresultater på håndbevegelser har blitt publissert i blant annet Frontiers, International Journal of Therapy og Rehabilitation and the Journal of Hand Therapy. Han har også fått vise frem sin forskning på den internasjonale kongressen for biomekanikk i 2015 og verdens kongressen for biomekanikk 2018. I tillegg til dette har han en grad i Mechatronics Engineering, samt en master i Mechanical  Engineering fra National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
