Due to the epidemic situation, this task is no longer mandatory. Nevertheless - the students are encouraged to solve the exercises as the learning outcome is very important for the upcoming exam.
You can choose to solve the assignment in groups or alone.
If you want to get feedback on the assignment, you must deliver in devilry by the deadline. If not, you do not need to deliver it.
April 14: The lecture this week is held by guest speaker Yulai de Meer Fjeld from Bouvet and the theme is Exploratory testing, see podcast. The podcast of the lecture is also posted in the schedule.
A big thank you to Yulai, who, despite the pandemic situation, would hold this digital lecture for us!
Due to the pandemic situation, there will be individual written home exam in Software testing this semester. The exam text will be released on May 22 and the exam period will last one week (7 days duration) from that date. The grade scale in the course is passed / not passed.

Slides and exercises for this week's lecture are now posted in the schedule. I have chosen to post last year's podcast this week as well, as it covers the syllabus of Chapter 5 part 1.
I will encourage everyone to read the slides along with the textbook and do the week's exercises. Try to keep the study progression!
Good luck! Stay healthy!

Due to the Corona situation, the submission deadline for the first compulsory assignment is postponed to April 6.
Given the new study context, we publish the seminar material as always, on the course website. We would like to ask you to go though it, and we will gladly answer your questions by email.
When we will get back to the regular seminar arrangements, we will have recaps of the material we did not walk though together.
Best of luck with studiyng, thank you for joining this dugnad, and we keep on touch by email!
Raluca and Madelen.
The last few days have been a rapid development in the situation around corona virus. At the university, we are now introducing several measures to prevent infection until April 14. It will therefore not be any lectures or seminars in this period and the students are encouraged to work on their own by to reading the textbook and working with every week's exercises, as well as the compulsory assignment. All necessary material will be published on the schedule
The lectures on Tuesday, February 3 and Wednesday, February 4, as well as related seminars are canceled due to illness.
The practical part of the Security testing course will be held by Itera on Wednesday, February 26th. 12:15 - 14 in seminar room Prolog. This will be a joint seminar for all three groups, so there will be no seminars on Thursday this week.
February 25, Iteria gives a guest lecture on security testing.
In addition, a practical part will be held on Wednesday at 12:15 - 14 in the seminar room Prolog.
In order to do the practical part, the students must make some preparations. Here is the application Itera will use during the seminar to practice security testing skills
https://github.com/kovechenko/VulnerableAdvertisementAPI
The link contains all related instructions for configuring the application (follow the instructions in the readme file).
Option 1:
If you already have a group, you create a group in Devilry when you submit the assignment.
Option 2:
If you don't have a group, send an email to one of the seminar teachers (ralucamf@ifi.uio.no; madelend@ifi.uio.no) by the 24th of February and we will form the groups.
2-4 people in each group.
