Next Thursday Nov 27 will be the last. There is one Project 2 presentation left, and then Wolfgang will go through the exercises on p 199 - 202 in the compendium. These are not irrelevant as preparations for the oral exam. There will also be a wrap-up where you can ask any question you want.
As noted, the exam will be on 8th (starting after lunch) - 10th December. We have no control over who gets which 30 min time slot. But the stud adm will avoid conflicts with other exams you might have. If you have wishes beyond that, contact Katja in the stud.ad. from next week.
Next week and the week thereafter, you will present your Projects 2. The presentation should be 20 min plus discussions (as usual at scientific conferences). The default sequence of presentations will be that which is on the course wiki. We expect about 6 presentations each time (of 12 in total). Please prepare for this. If you have spesific wishes regarding the day to present, please mail us.
First, let us make sure that you all know that on Thursday Oct. 30 all lectures are canceled at Ifi due to dagen - http://dagen.at.ifi.uio.no/ Enjoy yourselves there instead. (Funny, their web page seems to be all in Norwegian.)
Second, on Nov. 6 we strongly recommend the guest lecture by lawyer and IPR expert Odd Kleiva. He will give an overview from a professional legal, but still entertaining, point of view and answer tricky questions you might have. Some of his examples of court cases regarding copyright infringement - when are things too close and when are they different enough - are simply funny.
