The curriculum for the course follows the material covered in the lectures, i.e., Chapters 0, 1 and 2 of Hatcher's textbook, not including the Additional Topics.

I will use these notes when discussing some of the material from Chapter 0. Thereafter I will follow the book more closely, starting with Section 1.1.

As usual, we will use Allen Hatcher's textbook "Algebraic Topology", which is freely available for download from the author's webpage.  A printed copy is for sale at Akademika. The syllabus will be drawn from chapters 0, 1 and 2 and the appendix.
