The Faculty of Social Sciences' start up-presentation for PhD candidates will introduce you to formal and informal aspects of the organised research training.

The presentation will include topics such as

  • structure of the PhD programme
  • duties and regulations
  • research ethics
  • supervision
  • researcher skills
  • the PhD programme council

Admission

The course is compulsory for all candidates on the PhD programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

PhD Candidates must each semester register in Studentweb for the courses and exams they wish to take.

The deadline for course registration for the mandatory Faculty component is Februrary 1 and September 1. 

This course is only available for candidates admitted to the PhD programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Examination

There is no examination, but attendance is mandatory.
