Short bio
I have a PhD from University College London in circadian and light biology in cavefish and deep-sea fish. Following that, I did a Human Frontier Science Programme funded postdoc on the timing mechanism on coral spawning at James Cook University in Australia. With the DS Train Fellowship, I have now moved into working with seasonality in Atlantic Cod.
Research interests and hobbies
I am very interested in light-based biology and how light impacts many aspects of biology, from UV-mediated responses to circadian biology to seasonality. I am also very fond of fieldwork-based biology whether that is diving on tropical reefs, deep-sea research vessels or fishing boats. Furthermore, I also take an interest in research politics and I am a member of the Young Academy of Norway. In my spare time I like the finer things in life like bird watching.
