Drawing of a female sowing a green wollen sock. Text next to her is "Repair Workshop".

Learn how to repair textiles at the Green Office.

The production of textiles and footwear accounts for 8% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. That's more than aviation and shipping combined.

By repairing what we already have, we reduce the amount of waste each of us produces. The Green Office have repair workshop every first Friday of the month to give students and staff the opportunity to give their old or damaged clothes some love and longer life. We have sowing machines and other equipment you need to mend your textiles.

P.S. The sowing machine and equipment are free to use by your own during all opening hours of the Green Office and UB has books on mending and repair in their Library of Things - University of Oslo Library (uio.no)
