About the School of Health Innovation

The School of Health Innovation aims to provide healthcare and life science researchers with tools and insight into how research can be put to use for the benefit of patients, the healthcare system, and society.

The school provides courses for health and life sciences researchers (PhD students, postdocs, researchers, physicians, and scientific staff) at all Nordic universities in the axis with the university hospitals.

The School of Health Innovation was established in 2016 by UiO Growth House director Hilde Nebb in collaboration with the business cluster Nansen Neuroscience Network when Nebb was dean for research at the Faculty of Medicine.

From 2022–2024 the school has been run by the UiO Growth House on behalf of the University of Oslo (UiO) in collaboration with NTNU in Trondheim, Karolinska Institutet (KI) in Stockholm and the University of Copenhagen (KU) with support from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

In 2025 and 2026 the partners have been working on securing funding to run the school further as a Nordic initiative. The courses will be back and running in 2027.
