UiO's Helpdesk for digital services assists students and staff in using digital tools for teaching and interaction. At Helpdesk you can get personal guidance by phone and remote control of your PC.
Get personal guidance on:
- Which tools to choose for various purposes, for example interactive teaching or study groups.
- Issues that may arise if the tools do not work as they should on your home computer.
- Educational tips and approaches for how you can organise a subject field or present a topic with the help of digital tools.
About Helpdesk for digital services
Helpdesk for digital services is UiO´s new single point of contact, where contributors from USIT/Houston and IT personnel from the units assist students and staff in all IT-related issues.
Guidance is virtual. The most important tools you can get with such assistance is Recording Lectures, Zoom, Canvas, Mattermost and Teams.
Helpdesk can remote control your PC and pass on complicated questions through an RT-line to the right people – for example, those who can help you put together pedagogically sound digital teaching packages.
Petter Bjørbæk is in charge of Helpdesk, while the work is operationally run by Rune Ersdal.
