Fox System Overview

Fox consists of login nodes, compute nodes with CPUs (regular compute nodes), compute nodes with GPUs (accelerated nodes), and machines for interactive use (interactive nodes).

Fox has ~3000 cores on 24 regular compute nodes, each with 128 cores (AMD chips) and 512 GiB of memory, 3+ TiB NVMe scratch disk and InfiniBand interconnect.

There are four login nodes, with the same specs as the regular compute nodes.

The interactive lineup has 500+ cores in four nodes each with 128 cores (same as compute cluster), 1024 GiB of memory, 7.5 TiB NVMe scratch disk and InfiniBand interconnect.

The GPU accelerated part of the system is made up of two nodes with four NVIDIA A100 cards each, as well as three nodes with four NVIDIA RTX 3090 cards from IFI.
