The required specialisation consists of 100 ECTS credits where the following, or equivalent, courses are included:
- BIOS1110 Cell and Molecular biology
- BIOS1140 Evolution and Genetics
- BIOS1150 Biodiversity
- 50 ECTS credits with courses in bioscience where at least 40 ECTS credits are advanced courses at bachelor's level (equivalent to 2000- and 3000-courses at the University of Oslo)
A minimum grade average of C (Norwegian grading scale), or equivalent, is required for 80 ECTS credits of the courses above.
In addition, the following must be included in the required specialisation:
- 20 ECTS credits within mathematics, programming, statistics, physics or chemistry.
