Do you have challenges in your day-to-day life?

We hope your spring semester is off to a great start and you are settling into your semester routine as easily as possible.

We’d like to inform you about the psychological counselling service which is available to all students on bachelor or master programs at The Faculty of Social Sciences. This gives you the opportunity to talk to an experienced student from the clinical psychology program.

Should you encounter any challenges, your wellbeing and sense of accomplishment could decrease. Psychological counselling is not meant as a treatment service, but a low-threshold service where you can talk about your challenges, or concerns about plans and wishes for the future. The goal is to increase your sense of accomplishment and wellbeing in everyday life.

You’ll be able to meet your counsellor up to three times. Each session lasts for up to one hour. Here are some examples of challenges you can talk about:

  • Doubts regarding your choice of study
  • Failed an exam
  • Unexpected pregnancy
  • Lost someone close to you
  • Disputes with friends or family
  • Social challenges

During the spring semester 2016 the psychological counselling is available between February 8, and May 27. You can book an appointment with SV-info in their office or by phone: 22 85 48 46.

If you have any issues that need immediate attention and that you perceive as severe, you should contact your doctor or SiO Health.
