UiO is committed to privacy and to complying with the current privacy regulations for newsletters. We have updated our routines to comply with the new privacy regulations.

Consent and cancellations

Your personal information is also processed by Sympa. These services provide the technical solution for our newsletter.

More about Sympa

The e-mail service the University of Oslo uses, is called Sympa (Systeme de Multi-Postage Automatique). Sympa is based on open source code and is freely available (under GNU GPL licence) and is, amongst others, supported by CRU (Comité Réseaux des Universités / Universities Networking Committee).

Filing a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (DPA)

You can file a complaint with the DPA if you believe that your privacy is being violated.

Reusing information

We will not use your e-mail address for other e-mail lists.

If this becomes necessary, we will contact you to ask for your consent to add your e-mail address to a new list before doing so.
