PhD Quota students whose funding carries over to at least the fall term do not need to apply for the summer support. Check your support agreement and if it is not through August then contact: birgimha@admin.uio.no
Please note: According to the Loan Fund’s regulations once a PhD student has submitted the thesis they are no longer eligible for funding. However, if you do not submit your thesis until after the summer then you are still eligible for summer support. There is often a lapse in time from when the student submits until they defend and there is no funding from the Loan Fund during that time. Students must support themselves, try to receive support from their Faculty or return home until they return for their PhD dissertation.
When can I expect to receive the Support Agreement?
From April/May onwards. Check your "Dine sider" and sign the Support Agreement when it appears in the Loan Funds website. If your Support Agreement is not available by May 30, contact: birgimha@admin.uio.no
