Master's courses
We offer a limited number of scholarships on Master's level. Applicants from selected areas can also apply for a travel grant. To be considered for a scholarship you must document a relevant academic background for the course you are applying for and that you meet the admission requirements.
Norwegian language courses
ISS offers a few scholarships to selected universities with the study program Scandinavian studies/ Skandinavistikk. In 2024, the selected universities nominate students who are already enrolled at a Scandinavian studies/ Skandinavistikk program.

Travel grant
Scholarship applicants from Asia, Oceania, Africa, Central America and South America may apply for a travel grant. It is not guaranteed you will get a travel grant even if you receive a scholarship.
Scholarship applicants from the following European countries may also apply for a travel grant: Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.
ISS will provide airfare from the nearest international airport.
