Application process for scholarship applicants

When to apply for Summer 2024

  • The application portal for scholarship applicants was open from January 2 to February 15.
  • The deadline for scholarship applicants was February 15.

1. Academic requirements

Admission requirements are different for Master's and Bachelor's courses.

2. Choose course

  • Scholarship applicants may only apply for one course.
  • It is not possible to get a scholarship for taking a Bachelor's course or a Norwegian language course (NORA-course on level 1,2 or 3).

3. Check if you qualify for a scholarship

Note! You can apply either as self-financed applicant or as a scholarship-applicant, not for both.

You apply for scholarship and admission at the same time.

4. Choose accommodation

  • When you apply you must choose if you want ISS student housing or if you want to rent your own housing.
  • The ISS student housing has limited space and we recommend applicants who wish ISS housing to apply early.
  • Admission to the ISS does not automatically grant students the right to ISS accommodation.

5. Gather documents

  • Gather all the required documents, and upload them in the application portal, Søknadsweb, within the application period.
  • You can log in to the portal multiple times to upload documents, before the given deadline.
  • If you need instructions on how to upload your documents, please read our guidelines for uploading documents.

6. Apply online (closed)

The application portal is closed for new applications

You can still log on to check your results and upload documents.

7. Get your application result

Scholarship results will be announced individually to each student.

  • Scholarship applications are evaluated by a scholarship committee.
  • You will receive an email with the result of your application when your application has been processed.
  • "Scholarship" means you have applied for either just a scholarship or both scholarship and travel grant.
