The songs, or Lied's, that were written throughout the 19th and 20th century, represents in it self an important bridge building between poetry and music - and they often reflected upon the contemporary currents in direct wording. In this concert we are proud of having mezzo-soprano Marianne Beate Kielland in an exclusive soloprogram with pianist Erling Ragnar Eriksen. They will give us their interpretation of a carefully composed and unusually varied program that takes base in Gustav Mahler's rich Lied-world.
