Gro Bjørnerud Mo (born 1962) is a Professor of French Literature, specializing in early modern poetry. Her academic work, published in French, English and Norwegian, deals with rhetoric, language and history in 16th and 17th century France, but also concerns the society and politics in contemporary French literature. She has been permanently employed at UiO since 2001 and a professor since 2008.
She has broad leadership experience. From 2007 to 2014, she was Vice-Dean of Studies and Education in the Faculty of Humanities, which meant that she had the main responsibility for Norway’s most extensive portfolio of programmes of study and some of Norway’s largest programmes of study. She is interested in ensuring that education has a far more prominent role on the university policy agenda.
