Public holidays include: New Year's Day, Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost, and Christmas.
For events held on weekends, on May 1th, and outside the buildings' opening hours, UiO requires additional security and cleaning. Student associations will be invoiced for these services. For larger events and events on May 17th, applications must be submitted at least three weeks in advance.
The university museums have their own rules and opening hours.
