Spend a day with great science, innovation and networking opportunities at this meeting place for academia, the institute sector, the public sector, start-ups and industry. The innovation conference Science Impact – tomorrow's solutions start today is a part of Oslo Innovation Week 2026.
At this conference we focus on initiatives in academia and industry and the need for collaboration as well as framework conditions needed to put research to use for the benefit of patients and society.

Sign up for our innovation courses in October and November
The UiO Growth House runs innovation courses at different levels that will increase innovation competence among UiO employees: PhD candidates, postdocs, researchers and other employees. The courses are free for UiO employees.

Foundation level IDEA course
Do you want to learn how to identify a good innovation idea from research data? This course is the perfect starting point for everyone curious about innovation. We use Design Thinking to introduce you to the innovation process.

Step-up level Idea to Innovation (I2I) course
Do you want to learn how to turn your idea into a successful innovation project? This hands-on workshop introduces you to the tools you need to do so. We’ll also cover funding opportunities and innovation grant writing as a potential next step for developing your project further.

Meet the UiO Growth House in the Life Science Building
Innovation awakening last Thursday of the month
We invite the researchers in the building to monthly morning gathering with us in the amphitheater in the Life Science Building. In August we talked about our innovation services. In September former attendees of the School of Health Innovation shared their experience as we are reigniting the school.

Innovation Coffee Time Wednesdays
Researchers may drop in or book at time for a good cup of coffee and an informal chat about your new innovation idea, funding opportunities, and upcoming courses. Next opportunity: the Life Science Building 7 October at 13–15 in the library on the ground floor.
