Padlet has been in use at UiO for some time now. A thorough review by USIT has now revealed that the use of Padlet violates the regulations for the transfer of personal data outside the EU/EEA, as is illustrated in the Schrems II ruling. This means that Padlet can no longer be used at UiO.

In recent days, it has become known that the Norwegian parliament Stortinget and a dozen other companies have been hit by attacks on their e-mail systems. The UiO is not affected.
On Tuesday February 9 the University Board decided that the IT departments at UiO will be reorganized. The project "Organizational Development of UiO's IT Departments" have been working on this for some time, and the implementation of the project board's recommendation is now decided.
