Language café

Do you want to learn and practice languages while getting to know people from around the world? Come to the language café then!

The language café is the place to be if you are a new student at UiO and want to practice Norwegian. If you will be leaving for a semester abroad soon or recently came back from one, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your language skills!

Regardless of your level, you get to practice the language of your choice in an informal and relaxed setting.

You do not need to sign up in advance for this event. However, we do ask that you let us know which language(s) you are interested in, by submitting the form below. You can also contribute to the café as a language leader. This involves guiding the conversations and answering simple questions about the language, and requires no teacher training or grammar expertise!

This month's theme is Christmas, and we will be serving cookies.

Language cafés are held the first Thursday of every month in “Lille Scene & Litteratursalongen” in the basement floor of The Humanities and Social Sciences Library (Georg Sverdrups hus), and are organized by Knutepunktet, The Humanities and Social Sciences Library and Erasmus Student Network Oslo.

Let us know which language you want to learn!

We look forward to seeing you!
