An exciting and academically attractive option for your third semester on the master's in Music, Communication and Technology is to go on student exchange to relevant universities abroad. Department of Musicology at UiO has some recommendations that we present below, and we encourage you to use the opportunity to specialize and learn from international scholars abroad.
As an MCT-student, you are effectively a student both at NTNU and UiO, and you can apply to exchange programmes at both universities - this page gives you recommendations that are offered by UiO. Options and contact points at the NTNU are given on the NTNU page.

Recommended institutions for MCT students
Aalborg University - Denmark
This is a very attractive location for MCT students. View Departement of Musicology's web page about the agreement (in Norwegian) for details and contact information.
University of Aalborg's offers courses of particular interest to MCT students within Sound studio technology and Sound analysis, Acoustics and psychoacoustics and Music pedagogy.
You will get an Erasmus grant to cover extra expenses.
Jyväskylä University - Finland
This is a very attractive destination for MCT students. View Department of Musicology's web page about the agreement (in Norwegian) for details and contact information. University of Jyvãskylã's offers courses of particular interest to MCT students within music therapy, popular music and music technology. There are also courses within Cognitive research, Neuroscience of music and Music psychology. You will get an Erasmus grant to cover extra expenses.
University of Melbourne - Australia
MCT students are welcome to apply for exchange to University of Melbourne, where the University of Oslo has a large number of tuition free places and a very good musicology environment is waiting to receive you!
