Tips for getting started

The first semester at university offers many new experiences: The people, the books, campus and new digital tools. We have a few tips on how to get started as a new student.

1. Join the Buddy Programme

  • On the first day of Orientation Week, you will be assigned to a buddy group.
  • In your buddy group, you will meet your new fellow students and a buddy – an experienced student from your study programme. Together, you will get to know each other, the university and the city, and take part in the week’s social events.
  • By the end of Orientation Week, you will already know people to sit with in class – and maybe even have a study group.

Access your syllabus in several ways

  • Some texts will be available online and will be linked on your syllabus.
