• If you haven't delivered Assignment 2, please send an e-mail to Mari as soon as possible.

I have now corrected Assignment 2. Please check Fronter for feedback. If you did not manage to deliver Assignment 2 before Fronter closed, please send an email to Mari. 

• Assignment 2 are added to the web page and Fronter. Deadline: 8 March 09:00. The figures for the assignment are added to the "Mocap - MUS2500_4500" folder in Fronter.
• There is no teaching in on 8 March (Åpen dag).

• The slides from yesterday's lecture on Rhythm and Motion are available here.
• The next lecture, on March 1, will include an introduction to the MocapToolbox for Matlab. You do not have to bring a laptop. If you want to use Matlab on your own computer, please make sure that you have it installed and working before the lecture. (mcprog.uio / winprog.uio).

Next week Alexander Refsum Jensenius will talk about RITMO. In RITMO, researchers from musicology, psychology, and informatics are going to work together. Before the lecture Alexander wants you to think about the following:

Welcome to this exciting course on musical rhythm, time and motion. Topics will include rhythm theory, analytical approaches, and rhythm perception and cognition. The course will offer students a combination of scholarly approaches that draw from the traditions of musicology, music cognition, and computer science. It will balance a theoretical understanding of current musicological issues with practical experience in the methods and tools employed in research.

 Lectures and seminars will take place on Thursdays (11:15–13:00) starting on January 18th.
