Seminar on Topic Maps Topic Maps (ISO/IEC 13250:2003) is the only international standard for Knowledge Management. The standard defines a formal data model for knowledge representation and an XML-based syntax for exchanging topic maps between systems. This lecture, by the leader of the ISO Topic Maps committee, Steve Pepper, will provide a basic introduction to Topic Maps, describing the basic concepts and the main areas of application, and also showing demos using Ontopia's free tool, the Omnigator.
