Programme structure
The course of study consists of a total of 120 credits that are distributed in the following manner:
- Obligatory courses, 30 credits
- Elective courses, 30 credits
- Master's thesis, 60 credits

The first year of the Master's Degree comprises the methodical and theoretical basis for independent work on the master's thesis.
Elective courses
REL4181 - Historical Religious Texts
It is possible to apply for recognition of 20 credits taken in other subjects when these can be seen as relevant for the candidate’s subject area for the dissertation. The following form must be filled out and sent to the programme advisor if you wish to do this.
Master's thesis
The structure of the course of study can be adapted to individual needs, but it is recommended that the student finds a topic for the master's thesis, in consultation with the teacher, as early as possible in his/her course of study.
