Information regarding change of submission deadline due to the Corona virus
The Faculty of Educational Sciences has decided that all students that wish to have an extension for the submission of their master thesis for Spring semester 2020 can receive a new deadline.
This new deadline is for June 30th at 14:00.
You do not need to apply for extension in order to receive this new deadline. However, we still strongly encourage those that have the possibility to submit by the original deadline do so!
It is also possible to apply for an extension until July 31st for Spring semester based on compelling reasons. To apply for an extension until July 31st, you must submit a short application via nettskjema. Your supervisor must consent to this extra extension. All applications are processed by a team at the institutional level. Application deadline is June 1st.
Criteria for extension until July 31st:
- Significant delay in data collection which makes it impossible to complete the planned thesis by June 30th
- Significant delay due to change of type of thesis which requires change notification to NSD/REK
- Significant delay due to closed daycares/schools (applies to children under the age of 12 and/or children with special needs)
These deadlines apply to master theses that are to be evaluated within the Spring semester 2020. Other rules apply to delays/extension of study rights.
