Do I have to submit a project proposal?
Yes. In September the department assigns supervisors based on the student's research proposals. Therefore you must submit a project proposal as soon as possible if you did not upload one with your application to the master's programme. If you uploaded a project proposal with your application and have made no changes to it, you do not have to submit it again. If you have made substantial changes to your uploaded proposal, you must upload the updated one. If you have not submitted a research proposal at all, you will not be assigned a supervisor. If you need inspiration, we have some suggestions for topics you may adapt according to your interests, or you can choose something completely different: https://www.uio.no/english/studies/programmes/social-anthropology/admission/Suggestions_Master/
