Welcome! (to the course and another strange semester)

Dear students in MEVIT 4834, Close Textual and Visual analysis,

a warm welcome to the course! Looking forward to working with you!

The good news first: Except from the Gillian Rose (2016) book, you will find all course readings in the "Modules" section! (Oh, don't mention it - you are welcome!)

The bad news: we will at least have to start the term online on Zoom. From experience, I know how much more it takes to participate - unmute oneself, discuss and contribute, but I hope we will get that going despite the odds! Please, try to cast aside all inhibitions and discuss the hell out of our readings!

Under "Files", I have uploaded the course programme which also contains something like a course 'manual', please, read it carefully before our first session. It will prepare you for what's coming. (And don't worry, it will not be much out of the ordinary, but I expect from everyone to take over responsibility for bigger chunks of a seminar session)

We will get together for a meet-and-greet + house-keeping session on Monday, 18/01, 12:15, where I will run you through the course structure, tell you a little about the ideas behind the readings and distribute tasks! The week after we will start the course proper.

See you in two weeks!

Steffen
