The printed compendum is now available at trykkeriet.uio.no You have to login and then follow click your way through (see screen shot) to Department of Informatics and order to books.
See you in a week.
I understand there is some issue with printing out the course literature via trykkeriet.uio.no (the university's print shop). I will look into it asap, and I will come back with instructions on how to get the printed syllabus.
As usual in this course, and especially relevant for this year's AI life cycle theme, students are advised to order a printed copy of the course literature. In the course, you also write your lecture notes with pen and paper, so bring your favourite notebook. It is currently debated in what ways AI affects learning, and we will explore this in the course through reading and writing on paper. Here is some research on how our brains respond to different writing techniques, and here is a paper I wrote based on students' experiences with pen and paper in IN5010.
See you soon!
The 2026 edition of IN5010 will take the AI life cycle as a theme. We will use theoretical articles and practical examples to explore the different aspects of the life cycle of artificial intelligence, including minerals, design, ethics, law, policy, sustainability, and use. The meetings will be on Monday afternoons (14:15) in Logo and start on February 2nd. Remember, the course has 80% mandatory participation, and the first lecture is mandatory for all.
