Hei!
As mentioned earlier, the 10 candidates selected for the oral examination will be announced here (their candidate numbers).
The selected candidates will be announced on November 24th at 12:00 (noon). A link will also be published for the selected candidates to register their preferred time slot. It will be a 'first come, first served' registration, which means that candidates that register early can pick any available time slot, and the candidates that register late will have few, if any, choices.
The oral exam will be on Thursday, December 10th, between 09:00 and 15:00 in Styrerommet NEMKO (Gaustadalléen 30, 2nd floor).
Dear all,
The instructions for group assignment 4 are now available. The details differ between the seminar groups, so make sure you read the file for your own seminar group:

Unfortunately, the article Fischer, L., Wunderlich, N., & Baskerville, R. (2023). Artificial intelligence and digital work: The sociotechnical reversal. Proceedings of the 56th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) is not available in Leganto. We are looking into this.

Hei!
Alexander Kempton has made a recording of the last part of his lecture on Digital Platforms. It is available on the course web, and here.
You are recommended to have a look at this to prepare for the seminar this week!
Hei!
Because of illness, we need to cancel today's seminar for Group 1.
Due to King Harald's funeral, we are moving the Data work lecture from September 9th to October 9th.
The oral examinations will be on Thursday, December 10th, between 09:00 and 15:00 in Styrerommet NEMKO (Gaustadalléen 30, 2nd floor).
The study administration selects 10 candidates for an oral examination. The selection is random.
The oral examination will cover the course curriculum (lectures, core readings, group assignments, and the home exam).
The selected candidates (candidate numbers) are announced on this course website on November 24th.

Hei!
I have done my best to find a solution to our group challenge in IN5210. I have done the following:
1. Moved those who were able to move from Group 1 (Tuesdays 12:15 - 14) to Group 2 (Thursdays 10:15 – 12)
2. Established a new Group 3 on Tuesdays, 14:15 – 16:00
3. To fill Group 3, I have moved students from Group 1. This is based on the best of my knowledge regarding collisions with other courses.
I have sent you an overview of the groups by email.
I hope this solution will work for all of you. If you are ok with your group, no action is needed on your side.
If there are good reasons, I will still allow students to swap groups with another student until the end of tomorrow. If you have a good reason for swapping, please:
- Either send me an email with the group you would like to swap to before 10:00 tomorrow (Friday).
- Or be there during the IN5210 lecture break t...
Hei!
50 students have signed up for Group 1 (Tuesdays 12:15 – 14) and only 10 for Group 2 (Thursdays 10:15 – 12). This will not work well.
We are therefore urging those signed up for Group 1 to consider whether they can move to Group 2. If you can do this, please send me an email (pnielsen@ifi.uio.no).
We will discuss this further tomorrow in the first lecture. See you there!
Regards
- Petter, Gera & Steffen
