Course content

The Literature Review and Research Question seminar consists of group meetings with peers and will end up in an oral exam. The topics in this course inklude:
- How to wright a literature review
- Critical reading of qualitative literature
- Define and advocate your field of interest.
- Review the relevant literature to describe the current knowledge in that field.
- Identify important unanswered questions in the field.
- Justify your selection of question(s) you want to address and
- Spell out the hypothesis you want to test (if applicable).
Learning outcome
You will learn to practice reviewing literature, and finally presenting knowledge (as you have been able to extract from available literature) about your specific field of research.
Admission

Formal prerequisite knowledge
No obligatory prerequisites beyond the minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway.Teaching
Access to teaching
A student who has completed compulsory instruction and coursework and has had these approved, is not entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework. A student who has been admitted to a course, but who has not completed compulsory instruction and coursework or had these approved, is entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework, depending on available capacity.

Grading scale
Grades are awarded on a pass/fail scale. Read more about the grading system.
The students and his/her supervisor sign them up to the exam

Withdrawal from an examination
It is possible to take the exam up to 3 times. If you withdraw from the exam after the deadline or during the exam, this will be counted as an examination attempt.
