Semester page for INF5063 - Autumn 2015

There have been some issues with SSH connections, we have now tried to fix some of these issues. 

If you still are having isses, you can try to make all connections from your shell send a keepalive.Add the following to your ~/.ssh/config file:

KeepAlive yes
ServerAliveInterval 60

A basic Dolphin setup is now available for testing. The storage nodes (halvorsen & storage) are online. There are currently two processing nodes available, and more will be added over the next days.

Please check the "Dolphin FAQ" for an updated list of available machines.

The GPU machines are now available at Simula. The machines have CUDA 7.5. See the GPU-FAQ for more information. 

When using the GPU machines you must make a booking in our online booking system. Log in with your group account. A booking will last for 4 hours, and each group can only have one booking at a time.

Several people experience login problems to the mpg-2014-X machines. The names are now hard-coded in /etc/hosts on oslo.simula.no/oslo.ndlab.net. You can use both mpg-2014-X.ndlab.net and mpg-2014-X. mpg-2014-X.local may work.

Because of the trouble, we extend the deadline to 15:00 today (updated in devilry).

For Q&A on the Home Exam we have a channel (#inf5063) at IRCNet (irc.ifi.uio.no).

Some of the lab machines are now availible. To access the lab machines you can ssh into <hostname>.local from oslo.ndlab.net

The machines at Simula for testing the home exam code will be available later this week. More information will be posted on the web-pages. In the meantime you can test and develop your home Exam 1 solutions on all other machines with SSE/AVX support.

There is an error in the INF5063 schedule. The lectures in INF5063 was supposed to be from 09:00 -16:00, however we will start the first lecture at 10:15 since this has been communicated on the web-page.

Det er en feil i timeplanen til INF5063. Forelesningene i INF5063 skulle være fra 09:00 – 16:00, men vi vil starte første forelesning klokken 10:15 siden dette har blitt kommunisert på nettsidene.
