 There will be a question session on Monday, June 10, from 12:15 to 14:00 in B62 (usual lecture room). If you cannot attend and you have questions about the material in the course, you can come to my office (B711) at other time.

The lectures during the month of February will be given by Rui Palma.

The lecture today, Monday January 21, will be moved to 14:15-16:00. The lecture room is still B62.

We will primarily use the book "Analysis Now" by G.K. Pedersen, see the "Syllabus/achievement requirements" for details.

Some basic facts and results about normed spaces, Hilbert spaces, and operators on them, can be found in the lecture notes "Topics in Real and Functional Analysis" by G. Teschl (these notes were used in the courses MAT4400 and MAT4410 in autumn 2012). The relevant chapters for the elementary functional analysis part are 1,2,3,4.
