Nutrition-Aware Meals (NAM) is part of a cooperation project between IFI at UiO, and Sunnaas hospital. NAM is a web application that was developed to give patients at Sunnaas a participatory role in regards to their own diets by using gamification principles to provide nutritional feedback on dietary choices. It was developed especially to fit the needs of the patients suffering from cognitive impairment (aphasia). Therefore, nutritional feedback was designed to range from a very simple "you've eaten well", to direct multidimensional data visualisation that can be used by staff to accurately monitor the patients' nutritional intake.
