The university's guidelines for North-South cooperation apply to academic competence and capacity development in low- and middle income countries.
The policy is based on two reports from two working groups appointed by the rector, Arild Underdal, and chaired by Ole Sejersted. The first version of the University's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy was adopted by the University Board on 16 November 2004.
