About the Oslo Life Science Conference

The Oslo Life Science Conference is an annual conference for all who are interested in research, education, innovation, business and politics in life sciences. The conference is hosted by the largest interdisciplinary strategic initiative at the University of Oslo – UiO:Life Science. How to create a leading Nordic Life Science Powerhouse in Oslo is the consistent topic. The planned life science building at UiO is a significant aspect of this. Increased value creation and international competitiveness is an important goal for the building.

Oslo Life Science 2017 was the 2nd conference in a row. The main day in the University Aula the 16th of February was filled with examples on cutting edge research on diagnostics and treatments of cancer and infectious diseases as well as how to deal with antibiotic resistance. We also heard about national and international initiatives to facilitate innovation and business development in life sciences.

Organizers: UiO:Life Science, Oslo University Hospital, the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Norway (LMI) and the City of Oslo. The conference received support from the Research Council of Norway (BIOTEK 2021).
