Join a new round of funding of interdisciplinary research groups

UiO:Life Science funds 14 convergence environments that address major challenges within life sciences related to health, environment and sustainable growth. A new application round has started. Researchers from all units at UiO are welcome to participate.

- The convergence environments are UiO:Life Science' most important tool for initiating and supporting outstanding interdisciplinary research projects aimed at solving major challenges in health, environment and sustainability.

Aimed at the entire UiO

- We want to include researchers from traditional life sciences faculties such as medicine and natural sciences, but would also like to have participants from the humanities and social sciences. Many of the most exciting projects that have been awarded through the last two convergence environment announcements in 2017 and 2019 involve innovative and creative partnerships that create good convergence and break with established notions of who should work together, says director of UiO:Life Science, Carl Henrik Gørbitz.

Registration mandatory workshop and registration deadline

Those who are interested should attend an information meeting in December, either on 8 December or 10 December. The registration deadline for those who want to participate in the new application round is 21 January. By then you have to register your scientific profile and sign up for workshop (mandatory to participate) on either Thursday 18 February or Tuesday 2 March 2021.
