Are you curious about interdisciplinary research collaboration? Do you want to learn more about interdisciplinary research leadership in practice? Join us for a pleasant gathering in honour of our second generation convergence environments on 30 May.
Will UiO:Life Science be extended?
The largest strategic priority area at the University of Oslo, UiO:Life Science was established in 2015 for a period of five years. In 2020 the university board decided to extend the period with five new years. 14 May the university board will decide whether UiO:Life Science will be given five more years. Follow the stream of the university board meeting.
New overview for internal innovation funding at UiO
UiO has several different support schemes for innovative researchers. A new webpage has been created to make it easier for researchers to find information about calls and application deadlines.
Disputations
Lin Xue from the convergence environment Programmable Cell-like Compartments defended his thesis Communication and interaction among surface-adhered membranous protocells for the degree Philosophiae Doctor 19 April.
Olga Zlygosteva from the convergence environment Protons contra cancer (PROCCA) defended her thesis Normal tissue effects and cytokine responses after fractionated X-ray or proton radiotherapy of the head and neck region in mice for the degree Philosophiae Doctor 25 April.
Apply for internationalization support
Academic employees, post docs and PhD students at UiO within the life sciences can apply for support to strengthen the collaboration with international research environments. Application deadline is 1 June.
Conference or other event support
Academic employees and students at UiO can apply UiO:Life Science for funds for partially financing of open events that are in line with the initiative's strategy. Application deadline 1 June.
