Retrieving BitLocker Recovery Key

The hard drive on your Intune machine is protected with Bitlocker encryption. It is not possible to retrieve the data without the Bitlocker key. This ensures your data is protected in case the machine is lost or stolen.

On seldom occasions, someone may need to retrieve their BitLocker keys. With Intune and Azure AD there is now a self-service portal for all users.

How to proceed

  1. Open your Microsoft account page: myaccount.microsoft.com in a browser.
  2. Log in with your username@uio.no, authenticate with MFA, if needed.
See help pages for MFA here
