Am I allowed to make a recording?
You must follow the guidelines set by the lecturer or department regarding recording. If nothing else has been communicated, you may make recordings for private use of lectures or events.
If you make a recording for private use, there are certain rules you must follow out of consideration for copyright and privacy:
- You may not share or publish the recording. Nor may you share it with third-party solutions, such as an AI service.
- If you still wish to share the recording, you must obtain permission from everyone who appears in the recording.
- Show consideration for others' privacy and be mindful of who appears in the recording.
