The Career Services at the University of Oslo offers a 2 hour workshop on job search in Norway. The presentation will be in English, and is aimed at international students looking for a full time, professional job.

Topics that will be addressed in the workshop:

1.       Job opportunities in Norway for graduates who don't master Norwegian as a working language

2.       Strategies for job searching

3.       "Do's" and "don'ts" in Norwegian recruitment processes

4.       How to write a good CV and cover letter - "Norwegian style"


Date and time: 12.02.2019 at 4.15 pm - 6 pm. There will be maximum 32 participants at the workshop. The workshop will be held in SiO kursrom (on the first floor of the Frederikke building).

Nordamerikaforeningen har et stipend du som ENGLABS student kan søke på.

Søknadsfrist er 15. desember 2017 for studieperioden høsten 2018 og våren 2019. Studentene trenger ikke ha opptak på skole/søkt utveksling fra deres institusjon innen søknadsfristen. Vi støtter både helgrad og delgrad, og i år tildelte vi stipend til 25 studenter.

Beløpene våre varierer fra $3 000 - $20 000

Dear all, you are cordially invited to the screening of *Right Between Your Ears* - a recent documentary about end-of-the-world predictions and how we form convictions.

The film’s producer, Kris De Meyer, will be there for Q & A afterwards. He is a neuroscientist working at King’s College London and is visiting ILOS in connection with a PhD workshop that I am organizing on “Persuasion and Polarization in Politics, Science and Society” with more than 20 PhD candidates from ILOS and many other HF and UiO departments.

Dear all MA students of English Literature, American and British Studies (ENGLABS).

We are happy to invite you to a social and informal welcoming meeting Monday 17/08 from 16:00. We meet in Georg Sverdrups Hus, "personalkantinen". It is right behind the cantina on the second floor.

You will meet all the academic and administrative staff, and there will be food, drinks and entertainment!
